How Socio works
Socio
Businesses in Nepal search Socio for creators, see your verified numbers and rates, and contact you directly. Socio never takes a commission on your deals.
How do businesses find me?
Businesses search by what they need (for example "food vlogger in Pokhara") and filter by city, category, language, platform and budget. Your profile only appears for a filter when that part is filled in, which is why a complete profile shows up in more searches.
Your home page shows how often you were shown in searches and viewed each week.
What is profile strength?
A score for how complete your profile is. The required parts (verified phone, a platform, bio, city, categories, languages, kinds of brand work, a private business contact and one rate) take you to 90%. Connecting your other platforms adds the rest. Only connect platforms you actually use.
Who can see my phone and contact details?
Your own mobile number is never shown to anyone; Socio uses it only for alerts and as a backup way to sign in. Your business contact (email, phone, WhatsApp, manager) is shown only to businesses Socio has checked and approved, and only when they press "Reveal contact". You can see which businesses did.
What is my media kit?
A one-page summary of your verified numbers and, if you choose, your rates. Send its link to brands you'd like to work with: most first deals come from creators reaching out. You can see how often it was opened.
What happens when a business contacts me?
You get an SMS (and an email if you added one), and the enquiry appears on your home page. You reply to the business directly and agree the work and price between you.
What are Verified Deals?
An optional written agreement for paid work, recorded by Socio: what will be posted, by when, and for how much. Socio checks the posts and records payment confirmations, and both sides build a track record. Socio is not a party to the deal and never handles the money. Read the rules (English and Nepali).
Does Socio take a commission?Socio
No, never. Your profile is free. Premium is optional: it shows you first among equally relevant creators for a yearly fee, and it never changes what the search considers relevant.
What does Socio do with my YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook sign-in?
Read-only access to confirm the account is yours and bring in your numbers. Socio never posts, never changes anything and never sees your password. See the privacy policy for exactly what is read.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account settings and choose "Delete my account". It removes your account and everything you added. Hiding your profile instead is also possible, and can be undone.
