Referred to in the media as the "Rai is King", he is known as a versatile singer in the Nepali music industry. He has done playback singing for more than Five hundred Nepali movies. In addition, he has recorded several private albums such as Darshan Namaste, Rai is King, Syamuna ,Timi Nahuda,Kamana,Jadau,Jadau2,Jadau-3,Darshan Namaste 2,3,4,5 Murchana,Murchana-2 ,Purwa Ma Rang Chadhech,Just For You etc. He has sung Japanese,English,Newari,Limbu,29 Languages Of Kirat Rai ,Assamese,Hindi ,Maithili and Bhojpuri songs as well.
